Chess at Smith Jewish Academy is led by longtime instructor Robin Altman, who brings years of experience in helping students grow their skills and confidence in the game.

• Chess Class is designed for students who are new to chess or who have not worked with Robin before. Enrollment is available twice a year—during the Fall and Mid-Winter seasons. After approval from Robin, students may then be added to the Monday Chess Club roster while continuing to attend Thursday Chess Class.

   

• Chess Club is reserved for students who have already received approval from Robin. Once accepted, students are welcome to participate in both the Monday and Thursday sessions throughout the school year.

   

Both Chess Class and Chess Club are one-time payments that cover registration for the entire year.
