Tuesdays 3:45pm - 5:15 pm (8 Sessions) Introducing Smith’s first Dungeon Master after-school class! Learn how to run your own D&D adventure and build upon the skills you already have. Participants will deepen their understanding of D&D rules, learn best practices in world building, storycraft, and map making, and develop the tools needed to become a great Dungeon Master. The class will include workshops, how-to lessons, and opportunities for students to take turns serving as DM for the group by sharing real D&D encounters they have crafted themselves. Take the leap from Adventurer to Dungeon Master today! Optional Add-On: Dungeon Master Core Books
Students in the Dungeon Master class may purchase the core books used to run their own Dungeons & Dragons adventures: the Dungeons & Dragons Player's Handbook, the Dungeon Master's Guide, and the Monster Manual. If selected during registration, we will order the books in advance so students have them on the first day of class.
These books are not required for participation. Seth will have copies available during class when needed. However, students who are interested in learning how to run their own campaigns often enjoy having these books to explore adventure design, discover monsters and world-building tools, and reference rules while preparing their own stories. If a student already purchased the Player’s Handbook through one of the Dungeons & Dragons campaign classes, they will not need to purchase another copy.
