The Intermediate Biking program gives 4th and 5th grade students the opportunity to continue building confidence and developing the skills needed to ride safely, whether on their own or in groups.

Led by the MN Cycling Center, riders will practice more advanced techniques such as selecting the right gears for different terrain, braking smoothly, and riding predictably and visibly around others. Students will also gain experience riding on bike paths and roads, review the ABCs of bike maintenance (Air, Brakes, and Chain), and learn to use hand signals to communicate with fellow riders and road users.
